Rare & variegated houseplants

Plants with a person behind them.

I’m Carla. I’ve been in the plant world a long time — growing, propagating, mixing my own soil, and handing plants to people who are about to fall in love with this the way I did.

Hi, I’m Carla

“I do this because I love it. The rest of it — the selling, the teaching — grew out of that.”

Some of what I grow you won’t find at a garden center — variegated monstera, pink princess, anthuriums, philodendrons with leaves that come out red and settle into deep green. I propagate a lot of it myself, one cutting at a time.

And I’ll tell you exactly how to keep it alive. That part matters more to me than the sale. A plant that dies in your living room isn’t a win for either of us.

More than the plant

What I do, besides sell you something green.

Repotting

Bring it to me, or I’ll come to it.

Root-bound, sulking, or just outgrown its pot — a repot done right is the difference between a plant that survives and one that takes off. Right pot, right mix, roots handled gently.

House calls

I’ll come look at what you’ve got.

We walk your rooms together. Light, water, drainage, that one plant you’ve been slowly killing and can’t figure out why. You’ll get a plan you can actually keep up with.

Carla’s soil

Mixed by hand, by plant.

Aroids don’t want what succulents want. I blend my own — organic, natural, and matched to what you’re actually growing. It’s the reason my plants look the way they do.

Pricing depends on what you need — tell me what you’re working with and I’ll tell you what it takes.

Coming soon

Plant Bingo

An evening with other plant people. You play, you laugh, you go home with something living. No experience required — bring somebody who swears they kill everything.

We’re picking a date now. Put your name down and you’ll be the first to know when it’s set.

Save me a seat

In person

Come see them in real life.

Photos only get you so far. Half the fun is standing in front of a table of them and picking the one that’s yours.
